From Oamaru: Travel north on SH1 approx. 8kms. Turn left onto SH83 (signs for Kurow/Omarama), travel approx. 55.7kms; site is on right. Additional Information: Phone prior to arrival for availability. Two-room sleepout with shower & toilet available to hire. Kitchen utility room with hot and cold water and cooking facility available for guest. Fly fishing, trout fishing experience available with local knowledge to access the Waitaki River system. The Alps To Ocean Bike Track on our doorstep. Battery Charging and Lock up facilities for bikes if required. Drop-off pick-up service also can be arranged. Fresh Fruit and veggies available in season.: Dogs must be on leads at all times.

From Blenheim: Turn left onto SH6; destination is on High St between Uxbridge St & Inkerman St. Restrictions: Limited fresh water.

Please note: The campground will be closed for the winter months (June, July and August)From SH4/Raetihi: Travel approx. 27kms, turn onto Seddon St and stay on road to Pipiriki Village. Travel past our two storeyed Black coloured Cottage, another 50kms is our Whanganui River Adventures and Pipiriki Campinground. From Whanganui: Travel approx. 79kms then turn right at intersection into Pipiriki Village, 200m to sign for Whanganui River Adventures and Pipiriki Campinground. Additional Information: Proximity to Ohakune, Mt Ruapehu & Whakapapa Ski Field. Restrictions: Last stop for petrol, Food shop, internet & phone coverage. Turn around point is located in paddock at our two storeyed Black Coloured Cottage. Check into office on arrival. Booking Office for our Campinground & River Tours open till 8.30pm. Takeaway open after 12.30pm to 5pm. NO DUMP STATION ONSITE OR IN AREA.

From Gisborne: Head north on SH35, approx. 18kms. Additional Information: Permit & fee required. Restrictions: Camping in summer months ONLY; NO FREEDOM CAMPING allowed; phone Council for specific dates. Speed restrictions apply; NO vehicles to park within 5m of edge of highway seal; areas are marked. Dogs must be on leads at all times.
