Starting at the Morrinsville Recreation Grounds (Avenue Road South entrance), this pleasant walk follows the river along the rear of the recreational grounds, through stands of mature trees. The walk features a stand of native Totara trees (identified as significant in the Matamata-Piako District Plan) - these can be found near the track in the southeast corner of the recreation ground. This short walk is great for the whole family, with loads to explore including a small waterfall.
