Brook Valley Holiday Reserve is welcomed as the newest listing on the NZMCAs Travel Directory and as they partner with us, they also become our 94th CampSaver camp.
NZMCA members can now stay at the newly refurbished and newly managed Brook Valley Holiday Reserve under the CampSaver scheme & will receive discounted rates on powered sites.
The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary Trust took over management of the Brook Valley Holiday Reserve on 1 June this year as part of the Sanctuary’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding natural habitats, fostering sustainable practices within the Nelson region, and providing additional opportunities for visitor experience.
Brook Sanctuary Chief Executive Ru Collin says "Managing the Brook Valley Holiday Reserve is a great opportunity and we consider it a pivotal step towards creating a model for sustainable recreation and conservation in the Nelson area.”
Located right next to the Brook Waimārama Sanctuary, at the Brook Valley Holiday Reserve members will get a flat rate of $25 for 2 members and $20 for 1 member on a powered site per night when you book ahead and request the CampSaver rate. A valid NZMCA membership card is to be shown upon check-in. Peak exclusion dates & conditions apply.
The NZMCA has partnered with the Sanctuary with the end goal to help turn the campground into a family-friendly destination with discounts under the CampSaver scheme and at a later date, the potential to stay at an NZMCA Park within the camp, similar to the current set up at Moeraki Boulders Holiday Park @ Hampden Beach.
The Sanctuary (& campground) is located right on Nelson’s doorstep & is an incredible conservation asset as the largest pest-free haven in the South Island for New Zealand’s unique wildlife & qualifies for funding under the Greenfund programme - which provides financial support towards grassroots conservation and environmental projects throughout the country.
