If you're a lover of delicious food and wine tasting, then the Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival is the place to be! Travel down to Wairarapa to celebrate the taste of this region on 15 February 2025.
Wairarapa's finest wineries, high-profile restaurants, and food producers will showcase their wares set amongst ancient native trees. Set in a spectacular riverside setting locally known as ‘The Cliffs' on the banks of the Ruamahunga River.
Being 10 minutes from both Masterton and Carterton makes the site easily accessible to local and visitors to the district alike. A regional shuttle service will run to and from the festival site at the beginning and end of the day. Reservations are essential.
Visitors to the Festival will have the opportunity to sample wines from not only the larger, better-known wineries but also from some of the smaller boutique wineries in the region. In keeping with the informality of the event, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the wine makers from the vineyards involved giving them an insight into the wide variety and styles of wine available in the region.
While of obvious interest to food and wine ‘buffs' it will also appeal to those from outside the area to use it as an excuse to have a day out in the Wairarapa region. Viewed in conjunction with other events running locally over the same weekend it will offer the perfect opportunity for visitors to experience some of the wide variety of entertainment that the region offers.
Wineries at the 2025 event include: Big Sky Wines, Cambridge Road Vineyard, Colombo Martinborough, Coney Wines, Fairmont Estate, Gladstone Vineyard, Grava, Johner Estate, Le Gra Vineyard & Winery, Matahiwi Estate, Nga Pari, Stad_ko, Te Hera Estate and Urlar
Make the most of our beautiful sheltered rural, riverside location and stay the weekend! There are various options available for sites a short walking distance to the Festival.
