Wairarapa Balloon Festival - Easter 2025
Balloons will once again grace the skies of Wairarapa next Easter.
The Wairarapa Balloon Festival is a magical five-days of fun for the whole family. Each morning from Thursday 6th to Monday 10th April, balloons will take off from a different local town. The ascensions will be over Masterton, Carterton, Greytown and Martinborough wrapping up with a mystery location on Monday.
The premier spectacle will occur on Saturday afternoon and evening 8th April. A ticketed "Night Glow" will thrill and delight all with engaging and spectacular displays. Commencing at 3pm, with continuous activity until 8:30pm, the over five hours of entertainment will have something for everyone from skydiving to drone racing both day and night to Tiger Moth aerobatics and of course after dusk up to 20 balloons in a choreographed light display to dazzle all.

Certified Self Contained Motorcaravan Parking
The Wairarapa Balloon Festival is bound to attract a crowd, so we suggest you make plans early to park your motorhome/caravan and spend Easter 2025 right in the centre of the action.
- Parking will be avaliable at the Solway Showgrounds
- These sites are available for just $7 per person per night for NZMCA members.
- Pets are welcome in the parking area but must be on a lead at all times and cleaned up after.
- Please note you must be certified self-contained to park here as there are no facilities available.
- Campsites are limited, so make sure you book your tickets and campsite early to avoid disappointment.
