The Pukaha Wairarapa Garden Tour – South Wairarapa

2024 will mark 14 years of Pūkaha’s much-loved annual fundraiser – the Wairarapa Garden Tour.

This two-day, self-drive garden tour will feature beautiful and unique gardens in South Wairarapa.

Scenic Garden Trails
Wander through enchantingly designed gardens adorned with an abundance of native plants, exotic flowers, and captivating sculptures.

Meet the Gardeners
Gain insights from passionate gardeners who have nurtured these landscapes into works of art.

Exclusive Workshops
Learn gardening tips and tricks from experts, and uncover the secrets behind creating and maintaining a stunning garden.

The Market Fair
Indulge in delectable local cuisine and beverages and shop quality local handicrafts amidst picturesque surroundings.

Pick your gardens and choose your route according to whatever tickles your gardening fancy. The tour offers at least a dozen private gardens (not usually open to the public) to choose from. Gardens are revealed in the lead-up to tour weekend.

Locally-sourced and home-made refreshments will be available in selected gardens and BYO picnics are welcome in some gardens. Look for the icons to guide you.

The event goes ahead rain or shine. As a fundraiser, monies raised go towards forest restoration at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre.
