Taupo Summer Concert

The team at Greenstone Entertainment are super-excited that the Summer Concert Tour is back for 2025. 

Located at the Taupo Amphitheatre in Riverside Park, the Taupo Summer Concert returns to rock out the venue on 25th January 2025!  

The team at Greenstone Entertainment are excited to have another mega line up of international artists for one of New Zealand’s most sought-after summer festivals, the Summer Concert Tour 2025, which includes a show in Taupo on Saturday, 25 January 2025.

Four amazing acts will take centre stage:
Australian rock royalty, COLD CHISEL, will be bringing their 50th Anniversary tour, ‘The Big Five-O’ across the ditch to celebrate with a Kiwi summer. Lead singer Jimmy Barnes says, “I can’t wait to be on stage and play our songs for everyone who has followed us for all these years - we're gonna smash it!” 
ICEHOUSE is one of Australia and New Zealand’s most iconic bands, with their hit songs - “Great Southern Land”, “Hey Little Girl”, “Electric Blue” and “Crazy” - well known and loved by audiences across generations. Lead singer Iva Davies says, “We loved touring New Zealand in 2017 with the Summer Concert Tour and can’t wait to be back again to be part of the 15th year celebrations in January.”
BIC RUNGA is one of NZ’s most celebrated and awarded artists. Expect to hear many of her hit songs including ‘Sway’ ‘Something Good’ and ‘Drive’.
US band EVERCLEAR complete the powerhouse line up. As one of the leading alternative rock bands to emerge from the ‘90s they’ll be performing all their hits including tracks “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” “I Will Buy You A New Life,” “Wonderful” and “Everything To Everyone”,. 

A wide selection of Gibbston Valley Wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rosé and their award-winning Pinot Noir will be sold at the venue along with beer, RTD’s and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the venue and no alcohol is to be taken out of the venue. FREE refill water will be available.

Summer’s just around the corner, so it’s time to get your mates and family together, lock in the Taupō Summer Concert into your 2025 calendar! Bring your own picnic and sealed non-alcoholic drinks or check out a variety of local food vendors that will be on site. No Glass bottles or Glass of any description is permitted to be brought into the venue.

Location: TAUPO COLLEGE FIELD, OPEPE STREET (OFF Spa Road). Sites to be pre-booked and paid for. 

When arriving to the College: Please come down Motutahae Street > into Ricket Street > which continues into Opepe Street > you’ll then make a left turn into the grounds. This eases traffic backup and other complications. Thank you for your cooperation.

Bookings: To guarantee a park, email [email protected] and inform the team the event you are interested in (ie Summer Concert). The cost for parking at this event will be confirmed via email.

We will have limited parking sites available at the College for the weekend 24/01/25 Friday 2.00pm to 27/01/25 Monday 10.00am.

The site will be available for self-contained motorhomes & caravans ONLY. Clear your own Rubbish. No pets, pack in pack out.
