Established in 2000. Beach Hop has brought hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders together for an annual rock and roll festival. This event is held in the beautiful seaside resort of Whangamata on the Coromandel Peninsula.
Repco Beach Hop is New Zealand’s number 1 Nostalgia Festival that celebrates the best of the 50’s & 60’s - Rock and Roll, Hot Rods, Classic Cars, and Motorbikes.
Based in the Coromandel beach resort town of Whangamata, which once a year comes to life to the sound of Rock and Roll music and V8 Engines! Undoubtedly the largest event of its type in New Zealand with crowds expected in the tens of thousands.
The festival hosts a wide range of events for all interests and tastes including the Grand Parade, Classic Car Show, Main Street Car Show, Go Waihi Warm Up Party, Repco Power Cruise, bands, music, and much, much more!

Repco Beach Hop Entry to the public is free! Although we would encourage you to purchase a festival programme and make a donation at one of the collection points. The money collected is used to pay for the festival and any profit made is donated back into the community.

Parking space is available for Certified Self-Contained Campers at the Whangamata Area School, Access to parking via Achilles Ave, Whangamata - next to the swimming pool (-37.21591, 175.86868).
