Love speed, the smell of methanol and the vibration of V8s then you won't want to miss the action of the V8 Jetsprints ... where high-speed adrenaline junkies make split-second decisions and hesitation could mean elevation (to an island or suspension in a fence that is!)
The Tauherenikau Racecourse and Events Centre is also home to the Wairarapa jet sprinting track. Boats measuring only 12 feet long, with engines of up to 1500hp, battle it out in a specially built track in the middle of the racetrack.
Bring your family, bring a blanket and a picnic and be entertained by one of the fastest machines on the planet reaching speeds of 140km in under 2 seconds.
Watch as they navigate their way around the tight channels on the Kiwispan Jetsprint track which is about the size of a rugby field, all of the teams pushing hard for the ultimate glory of winning.

Secure on-site/overnight parking will be available for the event.
- Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead and under control at all times. Please clean up after them.
- Early arrivals are welcome, but please observe venue opening and closing times.
- Ten powered sites are available at a rate of $30 per night and non-powered sites are available at $20 per Motorhome/Caravan for two people.
- Extra adults are $7.50 per night and kids under 15 are $4 per night.
- All prices include the full use of facilities, including showers, toilets, laundry, kitchen and dining. There is potable water available from all taps.
- You are able to secure your parking space by emailing [email protected]. Sites should also be available on the day for any latecomers.
