The highlight of the local summer event calendar, the Katikati Avocado Food and Wine Festival, is happening on Saturday, 11th January 2025 at the Uretara Domain, Katikati from noon til 6pm.
Expect great food, the best wines, lively entertainment, excellent company, product displays, kitchen demonstrations and children's attractions in the tree-lined Uretara Domain in Katikati, the Avocado Capital of New Zealand.
The festival is family-friendly with activities for the kids, along with avocado-inspired cooking demonstrations in the kitchen gazebo and a diverse range of avocado-themed food and beverage vendors on site.
The stellar line up of live music includes Kokomo, one of New Zealand's leading blues 'n' roots bands; White Chapel Jak, with groovy and funky music; Tiki Taane one of the most well-known and diverse artists and producers in the country, and headliner; international reggae sensation, Katchafire.

Overnight parking will be available at the local Katikati Primary school again for the Katikati Avocado Food and Wine Festival 2025!
Your furry friends are allowed on the grounds, but please clean up after them and make sure they are under control at all times.
Where is the parking? And when can I arrive/leave?
Katikati Primary School, 28 Beach Road, Katikati.
Please arrive after 4pm on Friday the 10th of January and you are welcome to stay until Sunday the 12th January until 11am.
The gates will be manned up until approximately 8.30pm Friday evening and then again from 8.30am Saturday morning.
Please carry the correct amount of cash, we may not have change available.
As the toilets will not be open, all vehicles must be self contained. Dogs are allowed on the grounds however we do ask that all doggie doos' be picked up.
How much does it cost?
The cost per campervan is $20. All proceeds will go to Katikati Primary School.
Do I need to book?
No need to book, but please have correct cash available to pay for the parking. Event tickets can be bought on the day at the gate (for $75) or online at www.katikatiAvoFest.co.nz for Adult $49/$59 from 1st September 2024 until 10th January 2025.
