The main role of a camp host is to help our visitors enjoy their stay in the right way. This is achieved by:
What to expect
Accommodation: Applicants must have their own campervan, caravan or motorhome, or tent (which must be suitable for long term seasonal use).
Skills required:
Age: Applicants must be aged 20 years or over.
Dogs:
are not permitted at Peel Forest, Waihi Gorge, Mt Nimrod and Otaio Gorge campsites
are allowed at Pioneer Park campsite but must be kept under control at all times.
Nearest facilities: campsites are all within a 30-minute scenic drive to either Geraldine or Timaru.

We'll review applications and assign weeks as they come in and space is available.
Safety checks
Everyone who applies is subject to a DOC safety check, and a New Zealand Ministry of Justice criminal record check. Information about these checks will be provided after you apply.
