Festival One

FESTIVAL ONE IS BACK IN 2025 FOR OUR 11th YEAR OF MUSIC, ART, COMMUNITY AND FAITH. WE’RE BACK ON THE BEAUTIFUL KARAPIRO WHENUA, AT HARTFORD FARM.

With community the central icon on it’s metaphorical flag, Festival One comes across a little different. Born in the dusty summer of 2015 the festival has now run continuously for 10 strong years - with a covid hiccup 2022 where we got stopped 4 days before gates opened and a weather cancellation 2023 where we had to close gates 24 hours after opening! Each year a wave of sun-soaked people from around the tiny islands of Aotearoa, New Zealand come together and pitch their tents with intense expectation.

Over the last 11 years bands such as Charity Gayle, Amanda Cook, We Are Messengers, Tekoa,  Lauren Daigle, For King & Country, Switchfoot, Citizens, Kings Kaleidoscope, John Mark McMillan, NF, Rapture Ruckus, Social Club Misfits, Gungor, All Sons & Daughters, Bethel Music, Tenth Avenue North, The Brilliance, Halfnoise, and hundreds more, along side speakers Reuben Munn, Rikk E. Watts, Sam Bloore, Chad M. Johnson, Mary Bielski, two tonnes of free meat and a vibe that struggles to be explained have greeted these pilgrims.

Bookings are open now so you can get your preferred spot!

Caravan and Campervan sites need to be pre-booked. Options are now available for powered or non-powered, and large or standard size sites. Want to add a tent to your site? No worries. Simply book a large enough site for your whole set-up here.

Make sure to get your booking in, these sites sell really fast. We ask that all caravans, motorhomes, rooftop tents and vehicle camping pre-book a specific site.  If you arrive at Festival without a pre-booked site you will have take your chances that we will be able to sell you one at Registration. This is unlikely as these sites sell out every year. Make sure to get yours now. 

We’d love it if you could come as self contained as possible as this is a “greenfield’s” site - we have to install all power and plumbing ourselves! If you can run off solar panels and batteries, and have your own water and grey water handling facilities please use them (no generators please). If you can be self contained with solar etc there’s no need to purchase in the powered section. The size options are as follows. For Rooftop Tents and other vehicle camping we’ve allowed space for you to set up your rig and spread out your awnings.

If you have a small caravan that won’t take up your whole site you’re welcome to pitch a small tent within your allocated caravan site.

We are not permitted for Health and Safety reasons to people to camp inside their vehicles in the carpark or anywhere else on site, you will need to book a Rooftop Tent site.
